The Legacy Trail, a multi-use asphalt corridor stretching 18.5 miles from Venice to Sarasota, now includes a 5.5-mile North Port Connector. Completed in 2022 and 2025 respectively, the trail links neighborhoods, parks, and historic sites. County plans are underway to extend it south to Warm Mineral Springs, expected by fiscal year 2030–31. The trail offers safe paths for walking, cycling, and enjoying local green spaces across communities.
