Nice to see local events getting attention. Sarasota has a lot going on and people do not always know about it.

    kwilliams_fla· Oct 23, 4:13 PM

Three things you accomplished today is such a better way to end the night than scrolling. Going to try it.

      Tamara PatzerAuthor· Oct 25, 9:02 AM

We love hearing this, it's a simple shift, but ending the night focused on what you *did* accomplish rather than what's on your phone is a genuine mood and sleep game-changer.

  • RC
    Rosa Clemens· Oct 22, 11:28 PM

Englewood Beach for a Friday walk is a great tip. Way less crowded than Siesta on weekends.

  • PD
    Phil Davenport· Oct 21, 11:28 PM

The wellness trivia section is my favorite part of these. Always learn something small but useful.

    • TP
      Tamara PatzerAuthor· Oct 23, 1:56 AM

That's exactly why we keep it in every edition, small, actionable insights are often the ones that actually stick, and the fall workout performance research is a great example of that.

  • B
    BettyAnnHollis· Oct 21, 8:08 PM

Chasing grandkids is no joke. That ReliefNow ad actually spoke to me a little.

    • TP
      Tamara PatzerAuthor· Oct 23, 9:41 AM

We're glad that one landed, ReliefNow designed their message with exactly that kind of active, joyful living in mind, and keeping up with grandkids is honestly one of the best motivators out there!

  • J
    jerome_s· Oct 21, 7:04 PM

Would be nice if they included times for the farmers markets too. Just a thought.

    • TA
      Terri Ann· Oct 22, 12:49 AM

jerome_sSame thought here. I looked it up and the Bradenton one usually starts around 9am but I had to find that out on my own. Would save people a step.

Gulf coast park walks in October are just perfect. The weather finally cooperates.

    • J
      JulieFromVenice· Oct 22, 2:40 AM

Maggie LouOctober is honestly the best month for it. That humidity finally drops and you can actually enjoy being outside for more than ten minutes.

    • TP
      Tamara PatzerAuthor· Oct 23, 8:09 AM

October on the Gulf coast really is the sweet spot, the wellness trivia backs it up too, with cooler temps actually boosting endurance and making outdoor movement feel so much more rewarding.

    steveo_bradenton· Oct 20, 11:12 PM

Food trucks at ROCKtoberfest were the highlight for me. The event list just brought back good memories.

  • C
    ClaireNorthrup· Oct 20, 11:07 PM

Went to the art and craft stroll last month. Found a really nice handmade jewelry booth. Great vibes.

    • P
      patrice_m· Oct 21, 6:58 AM

ClaireNorthrupWhich booth was it? I'm always looking for local jewelry makers. Might have to check it out this Tuesday.

    • TP
      Tamara PatzerAuthor· Oct 22, 11:39 AM

That's the magic of the Art & Craft Stroll, you never quite know what local gem you'll find, and supporting those makers directly is such a feel-good way to spend an evening.

  • HM
    Hector M.· Oct 20, 9:30 PM

Good tips but the 16 oz of water first thing is a lot for some people. Start smaller if you need to.

    • B
      BeachWalkerFL· Oct 21, 3:13 AM

Hector M.Good point. I started with just 8 oz and worked up from there. Still made a difference honestly.

  • L
    liz_srq87· Oct 20, 7:30 PM

The phone free walk suggestion is harder than it sounds but worth trying. Fresh air really does help.

    • TP
      Tamara PatzerAuthor· Oct 22, 6:57 PM

You're absolutely right that it's a real commitment, but even one mid-day lap around the block without the distraction can reset your focus in a way that's hard to replicate, worth every minute!

  • TB
    Tom Barfield· Oct 20, 7:06 PM

Free admission at St. Armands plus live music is a pretty solid deal. Going Thursday for sure.

    • D
      dave_coastal· Oct 21, 8:55 AM

Tom BarfieldSame, went last year and stayed way longer than I planned. The art quality there is surprisingly high for a free event.

  • D
    DianaQuintero· Oct 20, 4:59 PM

Appreciate the weekly roundup. Makes it easy to plan without digging around for events myself.

  • R
    ray_b· Oct 20, 4:11 PM

The art stroll in downtown Sarasota on Tuesdays is a hidden gem. Never too crowded.

    • L
      Linda_SRQ· Oct 22, 7:35 AM

ray_bTotally agree. I've walked past it a few times and it never feels overwhelming. Nice pace compared to some of the bigger weekend events.

  • N
    NancyBell52· Oct 20, 2:13 PM

Took a walk at Nokomis last Friday and it was gorgeous. Highly recommend for anyone on the fence.

    • TP
      Tamara PatzerAuthor· Oct 21, 6:39 AM

Nokomis is such an underrated stretch of Gulf coast, thanks for the first-hand endorsement, and a Friday sunset walk there sounds like the perfect way to close out the week!

    • G
      GulfCoastGary· Oct 21, 10:06 AM

NancyBell52Nokomis is so underrated compared to Siesta. Way more relaxed and you can actually hear the waves without a crowd around you.

  • P

The farmers market in Bradenton on Mondays is so underrated. Great honey vendors there.

    • R
      rick_sarasota· Oct 21, 1:27 PM

Donna M.The honey there is no joke. I bought a jar of the wildflower kind a few weeks back and it lasted me like two days because I kept putting it on everything.

  • BH
    Bob Hutchins· Oct 19, 11:48 PM

Siesta Key for a sunset shell walk on Friday sounds perfect. Already planning it.

  • T
